WELCOME TO PORTLAND LODGE
We are honored to have you visit our website. We hope that you will take the time to explore the site and to gain an understanding of what it is to be a modern member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Find out who we are, what we are, what we do and how you might
become one of us!
The Order of Elks is distinctly American. It is a national, charitable organization founded on the principals of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity. Here in Oregon our two primary charities are the Meadowwood Summer Camp for Hearing and Speech Impared Kids and the Elks Childrens' Eye Clinic, part of the Oregon Health and Science University. Through the
Elks National Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Order, we offer five national scholarship programs. We also offer Youth programs such as the Elks Drug Awareness Program and the Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest and Veterans Services such as the Elks National Veterans Service Commission and a grant to maintain the Elks Veterans Memorial in Chicago.
Our Lodge here in Portland is just one of many across the United States, all committed to the same goals. As a member of the Order, you are welcome in any of the over 2100 such Lodges from Alaska to Florida. A definite plus if you’re traveling for business or pleasure as Elks tend to treat each other like extended family.
We hope that after viewing our site you may have a better understanding of today’s Elks and you may even be interested in joining our Order and helping us with our worthy causes. And lest you think we are all work and no play, take a look at our
Photo Gallery and our
Lodge Calendar! And check back often! The site is on-going and new photos and articles will be posted frequently.
If you're in our area, please drop in and ask for a tour of our Lodge. Visitors are always welcome. And if you're anywhere else in the country, check the phone book and contact the Lodge nearest you.

~SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS~
DONATE LIFE NORTHWEST
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America has joined forces with Donate Life America to increase donations of organs, eyes and life-saving tissue
GIVE LIFE, TAKE ACTION
Thousands of lives are saved thanks to organ donors. Eye and Tissue donors improve the quality of life for thousands more.
HERE'S HOW
Simply by signing up on a Donor Registry, you can save up to 8 lives and improve the lives of more than 50 others. The Registry documents your decision and is the best means of ensuring that your decision to be a donor is known and honored.
WHAT IS A DONOR REGISTRY?
This secure, confidential, statewide database lists everyone who has indicated their wish to be an organ, eye and tissue donor. It is accessible 24/7 only to authorized organ, eye and tissue recovery personnel. It is administered by Donate Life Northwest, a non-profit organization.
I HAVE A "D" ON MY DRIVER'S LICENSE.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
The "D" on a driver's license demonstrates your intent to donate. Signing up on the Registry is considered consent to donate, and, for individuals 18 and older, donation does not require the signature of any other person.
WHO MAY SIGN UP ON THE REGISTRY?
Whether or not they have a donor designation on their license, individuals are urged to sign up on the Registry. For registrants under 18, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is required for donation to occure.
